Chiropractor for Krimpen aan den IJssel
From Krimpen it is one bridge and about seven kilometres to the practice. On the other side, in Capelle aan den IJssel, you can leave the car right outside the door.

One bridge, and you are there
7 kmroughly, from the centre of Krimpen
Krimpen and Capelle face each other across the Hollandse IJssel, joined by the Algerabrug. From the Raadhuisplein you take the C.G. Roosweg over the bridge, and on the other side the Capelseweg and the Hoofdweg bring you to Lylantse Plein. It is the one crossing, so the bridge sets the journey time: outside the rush hour you go straight over.
Why people cross the bridge
There are practitioners closer to home, and people from Krimpen still drive over the bridge. Usually for one of these reasons.
Parking at the door. It costs nothing at Lylantse Plein. Cross the bridge and you pull up right at the door, which helps when your back has just locked up.
Certified in sports chiropractic. As a sports chiropractor, Gillian Johnston worked at The World Games 2025 in Chengdu. In the assessment she looks at the movement causing the problem, not only the place that hurts.
In your own language. You can be treated in Dutch or in English. Explaining what is actually wrong is simply easier in whichever language you think in.

What we see most often
It is often the same few problems that bring people in for a first appointment.
- Lower back pain, sometimes reaching into the buttock or leg
- A stiff neck or sore shoulders from hours of screen work
- Headaches where the neck seems to be the cause
- Knee or hip pain from running
- Injuries that keep flaring up
Honest advice
If you would be better off seeing your GP or someone else about it, you will hear that at your first appointment. That saves you a second trip over the bridge.
The first appointment is the longest, because that is when the assessment happens. You will know the same day what we have found, what we suggest and why.
